Female Portraiture
|
What and how do you take yet one more picture of a female, when the media is so saturated with air-brushed model after air-brushed model? Well, in my humble opinion, if you focus on their true beauty, you will never need to open the Photoshop package. Capturing the woman inside is easy, if she is calm, secure and sure of herself... For most women, being in front of the camera is about as easy as entering a high-school reunion. In my efforts, I try to make the "modeling" as comfortable as possible by not making it modeling at all, but instead, capturing glowing moments of their candid naturalism.

Kristee is a very special long-time friend, who helped me decide to open up my own photography side of the business. As long as she promises to always be my model, I will do anything she says. :)

Jaymee

Jaymee "tagged-along" with her boyfriend for a shoot, but as a qualified photographer, I could not let this mini photo session pass when the subject matter was such a natural. I fell in love with her instantly!

Not all portrait sessions have to be grueling. In fact, none of them have to be. To capture who the people ARE, you must candidly capture them in situations they love and find completely natural. Sometimes that is a comfy chair, a soft blanket and a glass of wine. In this, we captured the entire spirit of my good friend, actress Linda Bradshaw.

Imani

Imani was one of my first female contacts after going into business for myself. She needed acting headshots for an audition that took her to a "hot young adult female" rather than the parts she had been playing. With those seductive eyes, my part was easy!
